Hi, and welcome to my webpage.

I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

About me

Born in Leeds I completed my undergraduate studies in History and Sociology at the University of Warwick before spending 3 years working for a number of non-governmental organisations in South Africa, the UK and India.

I returned to studying in 2008 completing and MSc in Social Policy and Development at the LSE. I then spent a year working in both India and the UK on a number of youth based projects before commencing my PhD studies in 2010.

Since starting my studies I have continued to work as a consultant a number of projects including the Reading the Riots project, a collaborative study between the LSE and Guardian newspaper, as well as on a number of UNFPA and DFID funded youth programmes for leading NGO, Restless Development.

I have served as young trustee for Restless Development and continue to be a member of their Programme Quality Committee. I am also a member of the Social Policy Association and the British Sociological Association. I am currently a PhD student representative responsible for liaising between staff and research students in the department as well as organising regular social, and academic, events.
